We are an independent company located near the Humber Estuary in the village of Barrow Upon Humber UK. This was the home of the famous clockmaker, John Harrison (1693-1776), who won the Admiralty Longitude Prize for his H4 sea-watch in 1765, the watch is now in the Royal Observatory, Greenwich.
Two hundred and fifty years later, we find ourselves humbly treading similar ground, specialising in tidal prediction and hydrography, providing applications and consultancy services to maritime organizations world-wide.
We have recently specified and managed the development of the new FishSAFE Mk3 following the success of FishSAFE Mk2 over the past 10 years. These are warning devices installed on most UK fishing vessels, and operated by FLTC, helping a skipper to avoid offshore OEUK subsea infrastructure.
In navigation, we developed a system for creating electronic chart overlays KISPROC, which is used by Kingfisher Information at the Sea Fish Industry Authority UK, to make hazard-safety charts compatible with a number of fishing plotters.
In tidal analysis and prediction, our product GeoTide is in worldwide use. Our broad base of clients range from shipping, environmental and government agencies, harbour and port authorities, offshore survey, fishing, offshore oil & gas, and hydrographic offices.
We strive to provide technical excellence in all stages of a project, including appraisal, feasibility, management and design.
Finally I have personally acted as an expert witness on a number of cases involving fishing rights, one at the Supreme Court level.
