Geomatix announce the launch of their data capture tool XYit V3.3.

XYit converts image features into XY numerical values. Image files containing graphs, plans, diagrams, maps and nautical charts can be analyzed into their original numerical XY co-ordinates. XYit can be used with scanned or electronic images and has widespread relevance in the fields of business, finance, engineering, science, technology, survey and mapping. The recently released Version 3 supports over 20 image formats, and offers improved image manipulation and calibration together with a new setup facility. Two, three or four point image calibration offers accurate digitization even though the image may be distorted, skewed, squashed or rotated. Points can be exported to a spreadsheet (e.g. Excel) or imported and accurately plotted on maps and plans for use in consulting reports etc.
